Dead tach & crazy temp gauge

this started after I replaced my defroster relay. I had the car running and I had pulled out my defroster relay to check if it was working, so after I plugged it back in, all my gauges just dropped and I was driving blind for like 20 miles until I stopped for gas. Then my speedo, temp & fuel gauge begun to work but my tach is still dead. However my temp gauge has been acting-up since. It swings up and down from time to time and is kinda scary because I really cannot tell when Iam running too hot. Does anybody know whats going on here??!

I never saw this post, otherwise I probably would've replied... Hopefully you have everything (including the overheating problem) sorted out.
Go ahead and post the fix for the problem too. That way someone who has a similar problem in the future may be able to find it without having to PM you.

Thanx ci5ic, I already fixed that, it was the wires that run from the fusebox to the cluster. Half of them had been spliced into(probably by the previous owner) I guess for Am gauges and did a crappy job putting them back and insulating. So I took them apart and resoldered the bad joints and re-crimped all the ends and neatened up with same color insulation tape. Someone just pm'd me and and I gave him the fix. Anyways that was pretty much it. As for my overheating, I'll know whats-up by tomorrow.
