Compression ratio of KA?

what is the compression ratio of the ka24de? thanks in advance.

IIRC, it's 9.4, 9.5, something like that. It's okay for FI, if you do your tuning right. If you're going NA, you'll probably want something a bit higher.

1989 KA24E - 9.1:1
1990 KA24E - 8.6:1

thanks yall.....do you think that would be safe to run turbo + nitrous or should i bring it down a little more to around 8.5 or so?

A ratio of 9.5:1 should be okay for mild FI duty. If you plan on going for broke, some low comp pistons would definitely be a good idea.

For nitrous, you should probably stay stock. If you lower the compression to 8.5:1 for nitrous, your performance will suffer when you aren't spraying.

thanks for the info, but i was asking for turbo and nitrous together what do you think i should lower it to?

It depends on how much you're running. I suppose 8.5 would be okay.
If you're running quite a bit of boost and add nitrous to the mix, you'll have more to worry about than just the comp ratio on your pistons.

Unless you are running a turbo the size of your head like a T-78, and need the nitrous to help spool up, you can really just stick with boost.
