hi,
Alfred (asaenz) and I are making an FAQ section of this forum to help out everybody and to help all of us that answer the same questions every day...if you have a suggestion post it here! (try to use correct grammer and punctuation) or even better, if you have a question, post it here!

The sky appears blue because of a phenominom known as 'Releigh scattering'. When sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the longer yellow, orange, and red wavelengths (in the 570-to-700-nanometer range) pass through air molecules virtually unobstructed. But blue (475nm) and violet (400nm) light is scattered by air molecules in all directions.
