I own a 2001 Jetta. My drivers side front headlight bulb just burnt out. I bought a new hallogen bulb and I am having problems replacing it. The battery case seems to be in the way of getting the old bulb out. Is there a way to replace this bulb without having to remove the entire battery case?

Do you have an owners manual? That should tell you how to do it.

I did it without taking the battery tray out. You need to take the plastic cover off the body support that is on top of the light. its a reall pain

Are you sure? I had a friend stop by last night that bought some new bulbs, and I pulled the plastic piece out on the drivers side and there seems to be NO WAY to get the the bulb without taking out the battery!
