P0327 Code on 1999 Suburban

I picked up an OBDll DTC Scanner and got a code of P0327 (knock sensor 1 circuit low input Bank 1 single sensor) which is great but… what exactly does that mean. Is the sensor bad? Is it sensing a particular problem somewhere else that needs addressing? Any help would be appreciated.
