Anyone with this problem? The five-speed fan / blower switch on my '98 S70 (w/o auto climate control) works on hi-speed only (it had been working OK as of yesterday). Switch settings 1 -4 are completely dead. Also, fan makes an awful load groan on hi speed. I am concerned runing at hi fan speed will burn out the blower completely. Is there a resistor bank in the fan blower housing which has died, or does the entire blower need replacement? Could the switch have failed? Anyone ever attempt this repair?
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your replies!

The graoning noise is the blower motor, they are know not to last forever, it needs to be replaced. I recently picked one up on e-bay for $25 (used)
As for the low speeds not working, could be the resistor, which is seperate from the blower.
