Soyo's Dilemna.

Sorry to pull this off topic, after it has been done so many times. Soyo has not been banned permanently, he's just taking a few days off (less than a week) As a message to other members, when a moderator warns you, he/she is serious - it's best not to provoke them. Hopefully when he returns he'll be better able to determine what is appropriate to post in a thread, and what is better suited for PMs. As a reminder to other members, if you have a problem with another member, or the forum, PM a moderator! Do not (I repeat) Do not, take a thread off topic for this reason!
PS: no more off-topic posts - I'm serious!
ok obviously this is soyo, I'd just like to say that I did not post off topic once after receiving the warning from 2strokebloke, who I happen to have no respect for anymore. if you even try to say my last post on this thread was off topic your 100% wrong. ok so it wasn't about FF 'drifting' like the title is, but someone did ask how to drift in an automatic(1viadrft) to which I simply gave 2 ways I thought might work, which I also stated I didn't know if they worked because I have never tried to drift in an auto because my car is 5spd
this might work, never tried since mines 5spd
so if you want to call that off-topic I'd really like to know why 1viadrft isn't banned for asking an "off-topic" question?
I would PM you all this crap 2stroke but I'm not really a person for doing things in secret, and I'd like for you to explain this to everyone, I mean whats to say you wont ban them for answering a simple question? sure I've had off-topic posts, most people with over 900 posts have a ton of them, most threads on this forum end up off-topic anyways.
posting this may get me banned longer/permenately but honestly I could care less about getting banned from an internet forum.
Now if you banned me for being opinionated and expressing that opinion in ways you didn't like then just say that. personaly I think thats the whole reason you banned me. in the PM you sent me you didn't seem pissed at all, and I didn't post off topic at all after that(which I might mention, it was less than 24hours after getting the PM that I got banned)
you mentioned not provoking mods, please tell me when I provoked you or any other mod from the time I recieved your PM to the present? yea I didn't so stop talking about crap that didn't happen, how can you send me a PM with a warning then ban me for not violating a single thing you mentioned?
making an 'example' of one person has got to be the dumbest thing ever. what are you trying to do, run these boards by putting fear of being banned into people heads? rule by fear, hey that sounds kind of like what was going on over seas not too long ago! way to go, your running the boards like a terrorist, what respect you've gained yourself now!
sure you may get your point across, and maybe your a great moderator, but talent is no substitute for good character. character shines in decision making, try establishing yourself by who you are and not what you do.
character shows... so does a lack of character. ruling by power(if you do something I don't like you'll be punished) doesn't build trust or respect from the members of these boards. mistrust overshadows accomplishments and ability.
maybe think about this next time you decide to make an example of a signle person or group. its like back in the slave days when they'd catch a run away and whip them, made the rest not want to run away. rule by power... how many slaves liked their 'masters' that whip them or other slaves?
anyways... I've ranted enough and hopefully got you to think about some things. and just incase I get banned permenately: to all the people I argued with or got pissed at hopefully theres no hard feelings(whether this is over the internet or not) because I'm not looking to make enemies or anything. sometimes I get caught up in the moment and take things too far, but who doesn't? oh well I guess thats all I have to say
oh and 2strokebloke, don't bother PMing me because I don't plan on responding to you in a PM, if you have something to say you can put it on this thread, its not like the thread has a real purpose or anything anyways.
good day :)
EDIT: and bunta, don't tell me to drive for a few more years before getting into drifting, and I'm not the king of FF drifting, theres no such thing(not getting into that) what does age have to do with anything? and since when did I say I was an expert drifter? all I do is explain techniques, just because I can't do every technique perfectly in any car doesn't mean I don't understand how its done and can't help someone else that doesn't understand the different ways of drifting, all I do is base everything off research(which I do A LOT of) and personal experience, even if that may not be 10 years of experience, I don't have to be a master drifter to know the techniques and the concept and explain it to someone else. please don't act as if just because I'm 17 I don't know anything, that has got to be one of the biggest misconceptions in the world.
now officially, good day :)

Actually oyos, I think I agree with you. This whole drift thread is full of retards and poorly moderated. I mean, they just locked a thread because somebody was asking "old questions?" Well, there's going to be plenty of people coming in here asking old questions. 323 is no exception (no offense dude).
We'll probably both thank ourselves later if we leave this BS and never come back. There's a lot of bad information in here and a lot of questions answered with more questions. Drifting could be a good way to learn car control, but instead people are pushing it past that in the U.S. and making it a big fucking pissing contest (Nascar,WWF etc.). Learn to drive fast, and drifting will become second nature. It's all about control. A good car will be able to drift if the driver knows the car (RX7's have 50/50 weight distribution, I'd give my right nut for my car to have that). True drifting is using understeer to assure that you won't turn in too much. Goddammit, putting crap tires on the back of your car, zeroing the rear camber, etc... this is all like giving up and saying "Well, I can't drive, so I'll let my car do the drifting for me."
I'm just pissy today.

I agree... it's the INTERNET people! Geez it's not PRO's r us! Some of these MODS are getting hard-on's by being PRICKS... you're not GODS! This is a forum.... why do we hang-around? These threads are made so people can interact and share ideas! Sure not everyone is knowledgable as others but c'mon! Half of these poeple come just to BS!
Am I being OFF-TOPIC right now? Sure I am! You gonna ban me? Go ahead... my offense is not worthy of being BANNED forever and I'll be back to REPORT THE MOD that BANNED me to another MOD!
Sure SOYO was not pleasant to be around sometimes... I know this.... but I feel he was singled out and his answer was NOT off-topic he was answering a question which was on-topic!
323:
I know it is probably blasphemy saying I want to drift AT.... just wanted to drift my Z once! After that it's pure GRIP set-up! As for a GTX... damn good cars! Hard to find here in the States however!

Actually, Soyo, you were suspended for these two off topic posts, that you made after you were warned about being off topic:
ok 2stroke, can you PM him about off topic posts too? sorry couldn't resist
acctually its not off topic because the subject has FWD drifting in it and I had FWD drifting in my post, making it on topic, off topic would be like saying "so anyone been to any good drag races lately?" or "whens the D1GP?"
So don't spread BS that you weren't banned for a reason. You were warned to stay on topic, since you seem to have a habit of pulling threads off topic - you disregarded that warning, and you were suspended for it.
I should have made the ban permanent, but sometimes I'm just too nice to people :)
And when I typed: As a message to other members, when a moderator warns you, he/she is serious
I didn't mean that I was using your banning for being off topic repeatedly as a message for those who break the rules, I was simply stating that when a moderator sends a warning to you for something, it's best to listen.
Sure SOYO was not pleasant to be around sometimes... I know this.... but I feel he was singled out and his answer was NOT off-topic he was answering a question which was on-topic!
His answer was on topic, but that's not why he was suspended, as you can see above it was for the two off topic posts he made, after being warned that making another off topic post would get him banned.
Isn't it funny, that he even reregistered - and that the first thing he posted under his new name was, in fact off the topic of the thread he posted it in? I guess some people never learn. Anyway, double accounts are against the forum rules here, so his second account has been banned, he'll be back to play with his original user name in a couple of days though.
As for being singled out, he was singled out because he has repeatedly pulled threads off topic, and gotten them closed - thus ruining them for other members. If you were doing the same thing, you'd be in his shoes too.
I think the fact that I didn't delete this is proof enough, that I'm not going ban somebody because they disagree with me. It's not like I'm going to throw a few more days onto Soyo's suspension, because he said that the reasons he was suspended were wrong, and I say that they were entirely right. And I doubt that any other moderator here would ban or suspend somebody just because they disagreed with them.
Most importantly though, I should address this:
personaly I think thats the whole reason you banned me. in the PM you sent me you didn't seem pissed at all, and I didn't post off topic at all after that(which I might mention, it was less than 24hours after getting the PM that I got banned)
I hope that the fact, that I didn't delete your above post, and that I'm leaving this thread open, should be proof enough, that I didn't ban you because our opinions differ. I seriously doubt that any moderator here would do such a thing.
I did send you a PM, but I had also warned you, in the thread not tp post anything off topic, when you posted off topic again, I sent you a PM. Then, you posted off topic again, after recieving the PM:
ok 2stroke, can you PM him about off topic posts too? sorry couldn't resist
You make reference to the fact that I had PM'd you the warning, so don't try and say that you posted this prior to me warning you!
