4-1 headers???

i was wondering what kind of exhaust i should get for my 97 2dr gsr. I have comedown to either than apexi n1 or greddy evo2. my freind has a n1 and it sounds so freakin' nice but i need some advice from you all.. neways i'm bout to buy the exhaust system within' hte wk and wanted to get some headers too... ibeen reading that its better to get a 4-1 then a 4-2-1 headers for thegsr....i do not really knowand really appreciate it if u guys could help out
