I own a 91 Celica GT, I would venture to say Toyota in general builds better engines than Honda. Just make sure the one you look at is one with a 5SFE engine, I believe only the GT or GTS had them that year.

As far as hooking it up with Performance parts. Well Hotshot makes some 4-2-1 Headers for the 5SFE and Pacesetter makes some 4-1 Headers for the 3SFE (which will also fit your engine). Get yourself a good STRAIGHT THRU muffler, Cherry bombs are my favorite cuz they give that nice old school sound. :). There are also some companies that make decent Turbo kits for that engine (www.powerdbytoyota.com is one). But if you dont feel like spending that kinda money just buy a good K&N filter.

Really without extensive engine work there really isnt alot you can do to increase horsepower. Im actually building up a 5SFE right now, should make close to 400HP when Im done but Ive spent over $4K on parts already and Im not too close to done hehe. They really dont make a whole shitload of aftermarket parts for this engine (barely any) so most of it has to be custom made.

you wanna race a 94 gt celica? are you outtta your mind!!!!
just playin...its a great car...the best thing to do with a 94 gt is to swap it out with the 95 gt4 motor...it drops right in with no mods needed to be done...beside the ecu...and while you're at that...also do the gt4 front conversion.....
