i just bought a 02 WRX with a couple mods. as far as i can tell right now it has a catback exhaust, turbo timer, and bov. i'm going to order a boost controller asap. what is the best boost controller for the money and what other parts should i purchase with it to keep my engine running optimal? also what is the best site for WRX performance parts at a great price? thanks guys.

If you're looking for an electric or electronic boost controller, you might want to read this - http://www.arimport.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=490

If you just want a manual boost controller, they all pretty much work the same.

edit: actually, there are spring type and screw type MBC's, and they work differently, but all the spring type work the same and all the screw type work the same.

Not much. I wouldn't go over 16 psi with no other mods if it were my car.

15.5-16psi

what about with a downpipe, catback exhaust, turbo timer and bov? or does that even make that much of a difference?

also how much more horsepower do you think that will give me?

The turbo pretty much maxes out between 15-16psi. I have heard that for ever pound of boost you can expext 10-15hp. You will definetly be able to tell a difference.
