car won't start

I went out to start my 87 rx7 this morning, and it wouldn't start. I know it isn't battery cause the engine turns, but nothing ignites and i could smell unburned gas in the air. can anyone tell me if this is ignition, or somethin wrong with the fuel pump or somethin... thanks

Pop your hood time! :) Sounds flooded to me.

Pull the fuse labeled "EGI" it's near the battery. Crank the motor for 15-20 seconds. Put the fuse back and try to start up normally. If it doesn't start you may have to repeat the first step. If/when it does start, it will smoke a lot. Let it warm up and then you should be good to go. :)
