It can only work up to an extent. Sorry to burst your bubble! :(
I asked my chiropractor about it, and even though your muscles are getting exercised, it really is only for keeping a little bit of tone to the region. Muscle building can only be accomplished by doing "free" exercise in addition to keeping that tone...
The idea came from the Russians who would push their muscles to the mental limit, and then use the machines to contract their muscles until there was no energy left. And the process would continue the next day. And the units that are for sale now aren't as "powerful" as that generation because the USHD basically doesn't trust the public to control themselves (which is partially good)...

It dont really take that much effort to get 6 pack abs anyway, you just need to keep it up for 5-6 months, it takes along time to see significant results.
Ages ago I decided it was something I wanted to do so I started doing situps each day without seeing much happening, so I looked it up on the net and found that it takes 5-6 months, that was about 4 months ago so Im almost there, Im close, but not quite there yet

I'm doing it the old-fashioned way, I do sit-ups fairly consistently (Real-sit up not little neck-ups) and I use my Bowflex which has done wonders for me, I now have this beefy muscle on my ribs, it looks cool. The problem is the region, my upper abs are perfect but my lower ones don't show that much, guess it just takes time.

There are far too many "miracle" inventions out there that promise you fast results. The problem is sometimes you might get that fast result, but when you stop using the little machine or taking the "fat-burn pills" you gain back all you lost and then some. The thing that pisses me off about commercials for these products is they use people who obviously work out 4 hours a day in a gym to make you think you can look like that using their product.
The best way to get it off and keep it off is to watch what you eat and exercise. Alex and I have been going to the gym for a month now, and we both feel it is the best thing we have done for ourselves. We are starting to see some results now and feel 100% better overall. We both sleep better at night and don't have as hard a time getting up in the mornings.

I can tell you first hand that yes it do's take a long time to get a six pack especialy when you are starting out with a gut. The most important thing to getting a six pack is to skinny up so you can actualy see the muscles. I used to work out about three hours a day when I was a teenager and for a couple of years I was pretty buff but then I had some severe back problems and I can't work out as much anymore. I still have a six pack but it's buried under a bunch of fat.
The fast abs and all those electronic goodies do help but only to tone the muscle not build it. It will not help you loose weight, you will need to diet and do arobic exercises to burn fat and raise your matabolism.
I have ordered the Igia version of fast abs and will use it on the days I can not get to gym only to keep the muscles tone.
Sit ups will mostly work the upper abs so you need to do crunches in order to get the lower abs as well. I used to do about three hundreds crunches a day, now I use the ab slider thingy because it is easier on my back but is still a good workout.
Now my favorite work out is the drinking of the six pack, after you finish this grueling routine you will be drunk enough to believe everyone thinks you are sexy.

the abtronic works... i have one
you can feel your abs burn, cause it's just like you're doing situps, just instead of having the muscles contract by doing sit ups, they just send electric signals that contract the muscles for you
no product will ever give you the same abs as somebody that does sit-ups for an hour a day, but it does work, and it does tone your abs
if it didn't work you wouldn't feel your abs aching and burning after

the only way to build muscle is to exercise on machines or use free weights. none of those ab-shitters work. there is no medical base to any of them, all they are is testimonials from paid people who have worked hard for their abs. nothing that promises fast results will ever work. building muscle/toning muscle takes time and work, not some stupid ass vibrating belt.

gotta love all these lazy fucks who buy anything cause someone says it works...if you want good abs, run your ass off every day or get a lot of cardio in, and do crunches like all hell
you dont get anything by sitting there.....no matter how good it sounds:rolleyes:

How will running help your abs. Or will it just mean you can see them easier because there wont be so much fat there?

it does work, it just sends electric signals to flex your muscles. So basically your muscles contract without you moving, just like you're doing a sit up, just maybe without as much intensity you doin a crunch yourself.
whenever i use it, i feel the burn! :) :flamer:

You shouldn't need any of that fast crap. I don't believe in it. Humm maybe that is why I should huh hahaha
I have seen heaps of these quick toning products and exercises, still hard to beat the gym at the end of the day.

it's not really meant to replace the gym, just something you could also do in your spare time
or if you're too busy to do sit ups you can use that while at work, or doing something else at the same time
