got v-tec?

how much boost(psi) does the srt-4 come with??
and also how much psi can a stock srt-4 hold on stock internals?
and is there a differance between the 03' and 04'? or did they even make a 03'??

Yes, they made an 03 SRT-4. the 03 had no LSD, smaller fuel injectors, Michelin Pilot Sports, and had a solar yellow but no electric blue. The 04 has an LSD, larger fuel injectors, electric blue paint but not solar yellow, and uses BF Goodrich tires. Not to mention 15 more horsepower. Stock, the SRT-4 comes with either 14 or 15psi, i've heard and read both, can't remember which is the right one. As far as how much boost the stock internals can take...well, the stage 2 turbo upgrade will boost the psi up to 20, the limit of the stock turbo. Also, the NHRA Summit Series SRT-4's use the stock block, head, and crankshaft, and you know those drag cars have got to be pushing in some serious boost. Any more questions?

stock boost is 15 and drops to 11 after red line

stock i got 10 psi in 1st gear and 13 psi in the rest, stage one took it to 12 in 1st and 15 in the rest, stock injectors were 380cc and s1 are 550cc, the 04 basicly gets stage one stock with a lsd, the boost is also controled by the pcm for max tourqe, if the air is cold you make power easier so it takes out some boost, the hotter the incoming air is the more boost you get up to the limit the pcm alows, which is 15psi with stage 1

the wastegate in the SRT-4 has a 4 pond spring so after about 3,000rpms you loose about 3-4psi so if 1st you get 12psi it will drop to about 9-10 psi. the others 15psi drops to about 11-12psi. Internals can handle up to 20 psi as long as you get the right Air/fuel. probably more. One guy already is pushing 500HP on stock block but upgraded turbo.

where did you get these numbers at cause i have read stock 15 after redline drops to 11

Let me clear that up. I have read that the 04 comes stock with 15psi and after redline it drops to 11psi. I am wondering where you got your numbers from
camlifter

12 in first and 15 in the rest, it does drop at red line which is 6k, rev limit is 6200, just shift a 6k and it won't drop off

I get these numbers from staring at the boost gauge of a car I've owned for almost a year now.
Redline is this:To reach the maximum engine speed at which an engine is designed to be safely operated:
Boost drops before redline. My Car and everyother SRT-4. I've talked to (over 200) start losing boost after about 3,000 rpms and only hold 11psi to redline not past. Also from 6000rpm to 6200 rpms is a blink of an eye. to see gauge drop 4 psi you would be over rev limiter.

lets not forget that the psi varies greatly depending on atmospheric conditions and altitude since PVO designed it to have the same power in virtually any conditions.

I did not mean to sound pissed. I just read over my post and can see how that could be read that way. I was actually laughing while typing because My name says SRT4 as yours says Cavy so I assume you drive a cavy as I thought everyone would assume I drive a SRT4. Also In the past I have answered any questions youve had of SRT-4. I will say this a trick I'm not sure everyone knows but us first owners figured out was we can go to Home Depot or Auto parts store and get 10 pond spring hook it to waste gate arm and back to battery tie down And hold boost all the way to redline. It causes a little spike sometimes but no harm. I also know a few other tricks since this has been Dodge Turbo problem in past as well as some other manufactured turbo vehicles.

Yes the infamous turbo dodge dollar mods.
I swear reading turbo dodge forums is like reading some MacGyver script. Chewing gum, a swiss army knife and a few househould cleaning producs and you're in the 11's.
Btw another good mod during the winter is to heat up the temp sensor so it will think its hot and push full boost.

Ya I like wrapping it with hand warmer. Its amazing that some things are so weird you think your the first to try it then you read about how it was done twenty years ago. I swear we just keep repeating time over and ove again. Nothing ever new someone just refined it or made it popular. Its like recipies that have been past down from family to family. One just might add more sugar or butter.

I don't think so, I'm working graveyard now and getting up at 7 or whatever time it is doesn't look like a possibility. I'll most likely be at the track on the 29th though. It's gonna be nuts though I bet.

Yes, they made an 03 SRT-4. the 03 had ..... and had a solar yellow but no electric blue. The 04 has ......but not solar yellow
you know i called like five dealers asking why dodge was showing nothing but yellow srt's in their catalogs for 2004 and didn't get a good answer. i live 20 minutes away from the factory , so i went over there and asked them about it, and found out that the yellow was limited to left over paint from 03 and they were randomly shipped out, so i went to the dodge dealership that has sold me my last two neon's and told them to do a multi state search through the system, and they found me one yellow one, so i spent an extra grand to ship it back 300 miles from kuntucky, and have driven it past the factory it was born several times since.......i had extra money to burn, and i really wanted yellow, please don't judge me.

Yeah, there was only like a couple hundred painted the solar yellow. Heck it may even be less than that, but it is very rare.

i'm going that way monday, i'll stop at the factory to see if they will tell me the number of yellows, you know i bet they do this with the blue next year, and from what i've been told from the dealiers, they are only planning this car for a three year run. my dad's freind is a tool and die guy there and they already are working overtime preparing to retool the plant in a little over a year.

Well, in 2005, the neon platform is being scrapped for a joint venture between Dodge and Mitsubishi. I haven't seen anything positive, but from what people have been saying, the Tarmac Spyder, which I don't know if you've seen may be the new platform that they use.
