I was wondering if anyone has advice for me on whether or not to get the WORKS package for my Mini S.
Also, if you could only choose one of the special packages, ie. Sport, Premium, and Cold Weather, which and why would you choose them.

Thanks!

The Works package is a little pricey. There are lots of alternatives out there, if memory serves Hartge offer a well-priced upgrade

I am trying to make the same decision, I guess on the smaller scale. Whether to get the mini or the mini S. It seems to me 2300 lbs and 120 hp is pretty good. More is always better I agree, I'm concerned about the long term servicability of a supercharger I'll be looking to keep it more than 10 years. MPG is a factor too. Any thoughts?

works package adds more strain to engine so service will be complicated. I have sport and cold package and wished i got premium package, so im saving up for my S to get all three packages. If u look at it from one point of view, the works package is to make ur car go faster i.e. racing. if u really wanna race ur car then id get it and skip on the other package but if its just for fun, id stick to the stock set up cause its plenty.

Do you find that the regular one is decent enough power to have a passenger and ride around with the AC on? I don't want that works package. Just a regular mini or a regular miniS. I just don't want to find out in 3 months later that it doesn't have the power to get out of its own way with the AC on. I'm going to try to get the sport and premium packages, too. If I get the S, it will most certainly be used, if I get the regular, there is a good chance I can get a new one.
My time horizon would be about 15 years for keeping it. There is a serious concern in my mind about maintaining a supercharged german car over 15 years.
I wouldn't mind that cold package, too, but I just can't keep adding and adding. I'd prefer to spend less than $20k.
