Is there any quick way or shortcut to replace the heater core in a 97 Mustang w/AC

I feel your pain....the heater core in my '87 needs replaced....which is why it is parked and I am driving my '99 exclusively. I can't drive the '87 more than 5 miles without the windshield fogging up and I end up with a greasy, oily windshield. :(

Looks like you guys should check out the technical reference section and see how I did it on my 89. A 97 will be different, but should follow all the similar steps.

Would be the same, as long as you have factory ac.

yo - it's not hard; just a pain in the ass. it took me about 10 hours because i had to break it up and work on it over two days. just be sure to take it easy and put silicon all over the new core before you put it in.

He's full of hot air, I'm sure as long as he takes deep breaths the windows clear right up. LOL

HELL NO IT AIN'T.

A buddy of mine and I spent the better part of seven hours installing the new one. Man, removing the entire front part of the car was a bitch. I mean console, dash, covers, everything. We even broke parts of my car that had nothing to do with it!
