I have a 2g head i just had dissasembled and cleaned. Since i havent had it rebuilt yet, I can do it to your spec. It will at least need all new valve guides to be sure it doesnt smoke, and new valves. It will get a high performance valve job, back cut valves, pressure test, and resurface. Machine costs are 300 or so, and i'll let the core go for 150 bucks or so. I can get you a total price.

I can port it for more money if you are interested. I can send it to you as is if you have your own machinist. I also have an extra set of adjustable cam gears I may sell as well. Let me know what you need.

thanks kevin...
but eclipserst told me that he has a head in good condition of a 97 gst.. he said he will give me the head.. timing belt..water pump... and also few other 97 eclipse block and crank parts... for 1000 usd.. the best thing here is that he will come down all the way to wichita and do free service by fixing everything :D so i thought it would be a good deal.. caz my mechanic is charging me 800 just to do the head work and timing belt :( ... i just got one question... do i need to change the timing belt tensioner or not??? i had bent valves for no reason.. u as well as my mechanic say that the timing belt expanded which caused it...so i dunno should i change the timing belt tensioner or not.. eclipse rst said i dont have too ... :dunno:

I would never waste the time to put a head on a car unless I had it rebuilt. I would at least try to get a shop to change the seals. It should be resurfaced as well, since running a head warps it slightly. At least have it checked for flatness. Its a lot of work to have it screwed from the start because it wasnt flat, or have it start smoking in 10 miles from bad seals. :) Do ALL of the tblet stuff, always. That means tbelt, balance belt, tbelt tension pulley, bshaft belt tesnioner pulley, tensioner, idler pulley, water pump. 800 is cheap. A head rebuild is at least 300 plus parts. A tbelt job is sually 500 (parts are ~300). So its like getting a free head swap. A head gasket is ~60 from mitsu, but i Think you had the thread on that already. ITs not a cheap job, but it pays to get it all right the first time. If you have to do it a second time because you saved 50 bucks on some part, like a tensioner or pulley, you'll wish you were dead. :D Good luck guys. Have fun ;)

i never said dont change it, i said if you only do that then whats the point... you will need to change more than just the Tensioner! and i think he forgot to mention the head was just rebuilt, i was planning on keeping the motor so i took the head in and they made sure all the valve guides were straight, valves seats are good, replaced all the springs and rollers just to be on the safe side, so the head is in great condition

[shameless plug]

I also have a 1g head that is fully built. PM for details on this one, serious inquiries only though. Its basically a SBR stage 6 but without the aftermarket springs.
