ABS Problem

This is my first post and I'm already asking for help! I have a 91 Deville. The ABS light came on and I get a loud clicking from the engine. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. The car felt as if the brakes were dragging. The sound came from what I beleive is the ABS pump (4 lines going into the part located on the front drivers side of the engine. This part was the source of the clicking. Any tips on what may be wrong and how to fix it? Thank you all very much for any direction you can provide.
