Clunks & Thumps (Noises)

I have read several post on this forum about noises in the silverado. I have had the same problems and have had them fixed. The guy that fixed them for me is GM mechanic at the local chevrolet dealer. Lucky for me he also does it on the side at his house and is much much cheapper.

1. Steering thump in 01 Chevy
FIX-Special Lubricant for intermediate steering shaft
2. Stuck Gas Pedal
Fix-Throttle Body Plug, Adjust throttle plate, new PCV valve
3. Drive Shaft Popping Squeking binding Whatever the hell the noise was
Fix-Installed nickel plated slip yoke

The yoke was a fairly expensive part 200.
The Other was about 50 bucks.

Put about 20000 more miles on it since the work and so far so good. Hope This helps some people.

What was the fix to the "TB Plug" ?
What was adjusted on the plate ?

I had the sticking gas pedal and the fix was simple. Just undo the tube that goes into the throttle body and spray carb cleaner onto both points where the throttle plate pins pivot on the side walls. The engine needs to be off and move the throttle plate full travel several times. I sprayed carb cleaner on a rag and wiped the inside of the throttle body. No more sticking.

(I had never heard of a "plug" in the TB.)

I dont know what the TB plug is either but the plug itself was .50 cents. I also dont know what he adjusted but it works fine. I do know that these little problems sure can get on your nerves. HAs anyone blown a head gasket on their newer chevy (99-02) I found a little drip up front around the motor, not much just a drop about the size of a half dollar. The drip was coming directly above from the front drive shaft. Kina smelled like antifreeze to me. If you cant tell i dont know much about mechanic work
