Hi everyone... this is my first time posting a drawing. You might recognize it from one of the previous contests (whatever happened to that contest anyways??). I finished it a couple months ago, but evertime I tried to scan it it came out to be about 2 megs in size. :banghead: ... that got really annoying. I finally got it to be the right file size, but i guess the picture is kind of small. If someone is willing to help, i might be able to post a bigger picture. The drawing is done in a normal #2 pencil, nothing special here, i just blended the lines w/ my finger for the shading. It doesnt look as good in the scan as it does in real life, but its good enough. Hope you all enjoy it!

that is a good drawing. one way i found how to resize the image, is ( for me at least) when i save it from the scanner into jpeg form, it asks how much i wish to compress it. the less i choose to compress it, the smaller the file size is. and i dont think that effects the picture quality or anything. if you can, try what i just said. hope that works out for ya

jordanmc2399--- thanx a lot man, im glad you liked it. You're right about the mirrors though, it was the last thing i did on the car, and I did it kind of last minute because i wanted to turn it in for the school newspaper. I coulda done a better job, but i'm happy with them. Another thing i needed to work on was the rims. I have one hek of a hard time w/ rims. Im 14 yrs. old, and im turning 15 in march. Darn... you made me feel like a lil kid... ... haha
acoustic--- thanks for the help, im gonna give that a try. the way i got the picture to fit was by uploading it into sony's image station. then i clicked on the image preview in imagestation, and saved the preview that came up to my hard drive. turned out to be only 32 kb vs the 455 kb version i uploaded  . Then i jus uploaded it into the automotive forums database. Wierd, but it worked! Ill give your way a try too.
Zcaithaca--- thanks... this was my first time shading any of my drawings. I was pretty happy with the results.

haha... i guess my mirrors are worse than i thought. Now that i look at the picture, the right mirror does look too small. I guess i have something to remember when i draw my next car.

Sweet F1.
I am glad you started a seperate thread for your work. I think everyone should go ahead and do that (from the last comp.) that way more peops will see everyone's art.
Great job.
Oh, just one thing, I know you know this, but the back wheel might need a little more work. Just in case you need/want a tut.

Thanx for the input asaenz. I had never tried any shading before until I saw your drawing of the Nismo Skyline R34. That drawing was truly inspirational. I just took another look at it today, and its just mind blowing... makes my drawing look like a 5 yr. old did it. Thanks for the inspiration. But you're right bout my back wheel. I had a lot of trouble with it, and after erasing a lot, the paper got thin, so it just looked worse. So eventually i just ended up leaving it as it was. But it was still the best drawing ive ever done... thanks a lot for the input... ill definetely check out that website.

No it doesn't man your drawing is great, your stuff looks better than mine when I was in the 9th grade. I just have a few yrs on you that is all.
Hey, thanks for saying that my work is inspirational, I appreciate that. I really want to help folks as much as I can and learn from folks here too, and ofcourse show my work. We are all at different stages in our skill and even use diff. styles and media. I think it is cool we all can get along here and just enjoy auto art. :)
Take care
