My sunroof is broken. One of the parts that held it to the car cracked, it got stuck mid track so I had to remove the thing, and basically go Tim Allen on the thing. I'm wondering how this works, am I supposed to remove the headliner to get to the frame and remove it from inside? I don't really care if I get the sunroof to function, I just want it to sit on there right, make the vehichle secure, and keep the weather out. What baffled me when I was "removing" (demolishing) it was that there were screws that i could see that were impossible to get to. This is why I presume the whole thing can be removed from the inside, but I don't want to bother removing the headliner if that's not the case. Is there somewhere on the internet where I could find a how to on this job? My car kind of looks like a p.o.s. with the sunroof sitting crooked on there, held in place with packing tape.

Pop off the fuzzy headliner button/cap, stick in the right size allen wrench and turn it till it's closed. I suppose you didn't get the SST wrench?

The motor didn't die, the link between the roof and the motor was broke, and one of the brackets that secure the roof was broke. I tried turning the crank before I took it apart and it did nothing.

Yea, then you have to remove everything, all windsheild trim peices, the B piller panels, headliner, sunvisors, all that stuff to get to the sunroof. If you want to take it out theres just 4 bolts on the corners holding it in, just make sure you undo all the harnesses and hoses first.

Ok. I was afraid the whole thing would be welded in there.
