$87??? No man, that's way too much. Honestly, no brand is really better than the other when it comes to short shifters. They're all pretty much the same. Except Tenzo - don't buy one of those (more on that later).
Don't get me wrong, Skunk2 is a good brand, but for that price you could get a Neuspeed (which is better IMO) and a set of Energy Suspension shift linkage bushings.
Check eBay & you'll find all kinds of short shifters for less than $50 (including shipping).

They're nice for us lazy people who don't want to move our arms as far to shift, lol.

Any short shifter can snap. I snapped the threads off my Tenzo - with the stock shift knob on it. Now I have some no-name short shifter that I still have to install.

My car has a getto short shifter. It's the stock shifter, but with about 1-2" cut off the top, so no shift knobs really fit on it, but the shifting is way shorter  I really need to get a new shifter.

I use a hurst nothing else is worthy of my arm IMO.
Skunk2 does make very good products so i'll say with all the other products of theres i've seen/use i'll give it my OK.

Marc-OS why don't u re-thread the shifter so u can have a shift knob fit?
