odd wetness problem on driver/passenger

on my 97 blazer, the passenger side was quite wet when i pulled up the car mat, i figured ok, its probably coming in somewhere, i thought i found it and sealed it up, but the problem continues..the driver side was fine, but then one day the drivers side was wet to!! its so odd, it will feel soaked but if i take the car mat out for even just 3 hrs, its dry to the touch, still wet underneath, but i guess its on its way to drying since its dry to the touch. I dont think its a leak, if it was coming in from door, it would obviously be wet along the edge but its not, its dry, also its not coming from front area as the carpet going up to the firewall is perfectly dry, just in the dead center of both sides is it wet, wtf is this, its so odd, like i said i can take the mats out and it will dry. i just got the car couple months ago and it came with no mats, maybe this is why... very odd

Could it be the heater core?

It's either your heater core leaking, or snow melt from your shoes when you get in the car...

its not snow, and its not heater core, pretty positive on this, dad has report that its windshield, its prolly this.

i have a 97 blazer also and yesterday i took the maps out to vac and i noticed it was wet in the center also ....a few years ago i had a 95 grand prix that would get puddles on the floor if it sat thru a rain storm. dident leak from the windows checked the bottom and nothing was rotted ...so thats 2 gm vehicles that have had that same problem...and i have no idea why

look under the vehicle right where it is leaking some of them have a plug in the floor, what it is for I can not tell you but they are there, if thatis where it's coming from seal it with some silicon or the like good luck.

interesting about the plug, would make sense as its only in the center, tomorrow ill check that out

i have the same problem with my 91... i have no clue where to even start looking.. it leaks only when its raining. i took all carpet out because the leak ruined it, so now when it leaks... i have a fricken river on the driver and passenger side.. any help??

that happened to my 1993 S10 Blazer around Dec 2003, it's the heater core that caused the engine coolant leakin really fast coming out of the vent/defroster and went into the carpet.....OR it gotta be the heater core leakin.....check for water pump for that

itsnot coolant,i would beable to tell that, this saturday im taking the front seats and carpet out and finding it once and for all

did you ever correct this problem? I have it now on my drivers side floor. Can't find the leak!

peel up the carpet, it was leaking around the rubber gromet the emergency brake cable passes thru...use some silicon...
