Anyone know the stock rim size on an 89 4x4? I am buying an 89 in a week and I am shopping for rims now. I know that they went to nothing but a 16" rim but I dont know when.
I want to get a set of 15x8 M/T Classic rims and 31-32" tires. I imagine they would work but need to know for sure. Many trucks with 16" wheels wont fit a 15" due to brake sizes and such.
So if you have an 88-89 or even a 90 please take a look at the sticker inside the door or glove compartment and take a look at the tire sizes. I would appreciate it. :iceslolan

I just learned the truck has 31x10.5x15 size tires now.
Seems I might be able to fit a 32" tire but then I would be geting wider also.
The tires now stick out to far with no fender flares.
So anyones stock size on ur 4x4 will help

Well if I got the right info from looking around on internet I should be able to fit a 31" tire no problem and I can use a 15" rim on this year. I can install a 2" body lift and safely go to a 32" which is what I will do.
Backspacing on rims as a factory spec I found to be 4.625" in 15 and 16 inch rims. I will run a little less and add flares.
Time to go buy some YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER A/T+II tires. :iceslolan

Yeah I figured the offset out. Summitracing had a link to find out any factory offset or backspacing. I listed it above. 4.625".
And I think some 89s did come with 16.5" wheels.
