i spray it over the top of my impala witch has been painted with plasti-kote auto paint and i let it dry for 24 hours and i sprayed a clear on it using tamiya clear and it turns out flat not evan a hint of gloss, isent tamiya clear compatable with auto paint if not should i use testors laquer clear(i have had good results with it). the only reson i quit useing testors laquer clear is because it takes to long to dry like 2 weeks and tamiya on the other hand takes only 24 hours. can anyone help? thanks.

look like an incompatibility with enamel and laquer.
if you choose to use testor clear (the only pray can I use sometime from testor) use the one with the serial 18xx. other will give you really bad result, and once you used it 2 time, trash it eve if there is some left.. there is not enugh pressure in the can for more than 2 use (3 at the most)
also don't put too much of clear, it yellow over time and if you put too much, it will look really bad

Like I told you elsewhere Robert, you shouldn't have a problem with same brand over the same.
Testors clear from Walmart is enamel, they don't sell the Testors lacquer clear at Walmart.
