Don't know, the female driver wasn't very talkative.

That very much looks like a custom marque there, and really doesn't look like genuine BMW. I'm gunna ask my friend, at BMW Corporate here in the US, I'm sure he'll have some insight on the real deal.

Sorry but there is no such thing - this is the list of 7's that BMW makes anywhere: 730i, 730Li, 730d, 735i, 735Li, 740d, 745i, 745Li, 760i, 760Li

All I can say is that it looked very genuine.......

Well the car is certainly real, just the badge isn't. If the engine was a 5.3 liter I could understand why it was done but seeing as how the V12 is a 6.0 liter (hence 760), the gas V8 is a 4.4 liter, and the diesel V8 is a 3.9 it just makes no sense. If it was an E38 it would ALMOST make sense since the 750 carries a 5.4 liter but even then the badge should read 754 (which I may make mine to one day).

New car, new engine? A 5.3 V8 sounds logical to me. We'll see.... The driver (not the women on the picture) was very serious and at first didn't wanna say anything at all. Since I drive a new 7 myself, she was willing to open up a little bit. I realize she might a complete nutcase but that was not my impression. We'll see.....

Nope. We're all talking about the E65 Generation BMW 7-Series. We'd say the 750il if we were talkin the E38 Generation BMW 7-Series, along with the 725tds, 728i, 728iL, 730i, 730d, 735i, 735iL, 740i, 740d, 740iL, 750i, and the 750iL.

remember not all of the v12 are 6.0L. there is also a 5.0L and a 5.7L
