Free Ram air does it work?

Hey guys does the free ram air mod work? and what about raising the air lid does that work? I heard that u r supposed to put some washers on the bolts under the intake and that would essentially raise the intake? I was just wondering if any one had tried it and if they felt the difference.

I have a 2000 V6 and I raised the intake. I saw a difference in performance. I added a K&N, and a Whisper lid too. Havent done the Free Cool intake yet.

accual ram air does not work. I have posted numbers on this before. Any gain that you would get would be from the colder/ more air flow. If you want the numbers just get ahold of me and I will PM you.

oh yeah i remember that thread, it was a doosey. you pick which you want to follow, whether ram air works or not, but either way im sure the whatever free ram air mod your talking about (or a couple washers on you intake lid) will give any kind of gain that is worth the work you'll do. just go buy a CAI...
