code 1 need help

Well my car ocassionaly looses power and sputers.it has to do with the oxygen content i think its my o2 sensor but what else could it be if its trowing a code 1.

really really really dirty air filter.
my check engine lite came on, and i got a code 1, but then i changed my air filter and the code hasn't come on since, i think my o2 sensor is on its way out and the filter just made it worse. either way its cheap and quick to replace your air filter

That cant be it i just got my Intake like 2 months ago.
