2000 Tahoe, Is there a way to overide the headlight sensor. I want to be able to turn off the headlights (while dark out) without the sensor automatically turning them on when it senses that it is dark out. Maybe the lights can be programmed, I haven't researched this. Thanks

I believe, depending on what body control module you have that you can push the dome override button twice to shut them down. I think if you did a search you can find the info on a resistor to use in place of the in dash sensor that will keep them off

If your wanting to turn them off when your in park try hitting the emergency brake. It works with my 97. Good luck

Does your 97 have the auto headlights or just the DRLs? I always thought the auto headlights didn't show up until the new body style 99-2000. The parking brake should also work, just not a good idea if you want to hunt at night with your lights off driving through a field(not that this was mentioned in this thread, but that's what my dad wanted to do)
