Top of door.

Well the top of my door on my 91 hatch back is not sitting flush when you shut the door. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?
It's the top right part if you were facing the door on the driver side if you were about to get into the car.

My driver's side door used to do that. Some friends of mine (who used to work at a body shop) just bent the door...um...up a little bit...

Ok that makes no sense - and I didn't see how they did it. Apparently the problem is common ith 4g Civic h/b's & 2g CRX's because our doors are pretty heavy. Over time they start to sag a little.

I wish I could have seen exactly what they did so I could explain it better. All I know is that they basically pryed the door up (at the hinges) to make it open/close a bit more straight.

So you are telling the I have to bend the hinge or the door? :banghead:

just loosen the door hinges a bit....put a jack under the door....lift it up a bit....then tighten the hinges again.....only problem with this is your fender may go out of alignment with the door.

basically that's how they did it. It only takes a little bit to get the door lined up again. All you're doing is adjusting the door a little (at the hinge) so that it sits more straight.

yeah and if you don't do it your door will sag to much and catch your fender and wreck your fender. true story
