ECU + mod work

I have a 1.8TQ and want to get some advice about remapping the ECU for performance parts. Such as, with a custom cat-back exhaust, BOV, and cold air intake, how do you get it remapped to match. I do want the "Whoosh" of the BOV, but don't want to richen the A/F mixture. Also I have my own custom cat-back with the 3.5" DTM exhaust. and I need to make sure the comp. knows whats going on. Any help would be appreciated.

I would first try by contacting tuners that are near you or even not near you. It probably won't be easy to get top performance out of the BOV, cause the Mass air flow sensor on audi's is before the turbo, and it is expecting all the recirculated air from the turbo to come back through the air box too. You will almost certainly run into diagnostic trouble codes with a BOV. You may not notice the difference, but with the way audi's are set up, it's just not as good to have a BOV in most cases. Nevertheless, if you want the whoosh sound, then you could try contacting neuspeed, APR, Giac, etc (in no particular order).
Let us all know what you find out.

yeah, that's what I'm wondering, but with remapping, I would think they could override any sensor input. I know that BOV's aren't bad in themselves, but without the correct set up it can mess stuff up. Where I live, tuner shops consist of camaro's or mustangs and that is it and ECU work forget it. People do work on hondas and some imports, but most people don't even know that "quattro" means AWD, idiots! I will email APR or wetterauer and get some advice from them. If anyone else has experience in this area I would appreciate advice.

A4Q,
Here is just a little info that might be helpful. I got it off a european audi forum.

..why not just go with a tried and true company like APR or GIAC who have already done their homework instead of messing around...?

I agree with marked001, you wouldn't want to screw your engine by running rich, and knocking stuff around in there. We all know that running rich will really mess up an engine.

I agree with you guys, I don't want to run it rich. I guess what I'm looking for is someone that has had custom work done and how they delt with the ECU. I would think that fuel control would be a basic function. Especially if people put larger injectors in their car, cold air induction, K04 or Garret turbos etc... The A4 is an awsome platform, I don't think it gets the respect it should. I just don't want to hurt it but still install recognizable mods to gain more enthusiasim from locals to Audi. Let me know what you think.

when people mod there cars like that..they typically go to someone like GIAC or APR who have programs specific to those mods...like a k04 setup, etc...

GIAC makes the best chips for Audis, just buy a chip for 400-500 bucks and you WILL sleep easier tonight.
