Any of you have a problem with the speedometer cable making noises on the back of your gauge cluster while driving at higher speeds? Anyone know if its a easy fix or how to get rid of the noise?

Mine did that for a day or two before the cable finally snapped. To make matters worse the Honda dealer here couldn't get me a new one for two weeks. I was leaving the next day for a two day drive to Oregon.
THAT was interesting! Try driving across 5 states with no speedo & not get pulled over
Go figure, the Portland Honda dealer had one in stock. They're only about $22, so it's not an expensive fix

I've the same problem with my civic. Suppose I find a new speedometer cable... is it reasonable easy to replace it? I would like to do it by myself.
Thanks,

Yeah, it's pretty easy. It only took me about 10-15 minutes to replace it in my sister's apartment building parking lot. The only thing that kinda sucks is the little "C"-clip that holds the cable in the tranny. Other than that it's not bad
