The LS1 I am going to buy has a intake lid with "MTI" on it and a drop-in K&N air filter. He [the seller] said it is a company out of Texas, but i've never heard of the MTI airbox. Just wanted to know if anyone has? Am I getting something good, or a cheap-ass knock-off, and should replace it with a brand I know? While people are reading, he also installed an aftermarket MAF sensor that supposedly let's 47% more air flow, but i don't know what brand... is this worth kepping as well?

Don't waste your money on a bigger MAF ther like 400 buicks. Here is a 12 sec combonation for the LS1..... Airbox, exahust, torqueconverter. That and learning how to drive it. That setup should be good for high 12's on stock tires. Me and a friend installed a converter in his car. Have not taken it to the track yet but, I know it will hit 12's. When I race him in the buick with my street tires and pumpgas, he is right on my bumper. sometimes even my qtr panel depending on how good of a launch he gets.

ok Gears. instead of torque converter. What I was trying to point out is that a new MAF is not worth the money. Hell us GN guys convert our setups to run a stock LS1 MAF and we are putting a hell of a lot more air into our cars than you are.
