I own a 97 honda civic ex..i/h/e/vtec controller. guy around town wants to street race me. Dude owns a 2000 2.5rs coup 5spd. Totaly stock. Says he can tear me a new one what do you guys think should i put up money or turn it down.

Yeah, human error is one of the largest and most unpredictable factors in just about anything. Just race him, and dont put any money on it.

you'll get owned. At most your car is putting out around 140-145 hp at the crank. The 2.5RS is 160 hp with 155 ft/lb of torque plus awd.
