dont know about the z 28 TB, but you'll gonna want to make sure that the idle control screw is at the same position. when you take the old one off compare it to the new one. just make sure you remember all your conditions, and you can look into the TB coolant bypass, but its really not that effective. wouldnt recommend it if you live in an area that gets really cold in the winter. again, i have never dealt with the z28 throttle but i have done others, i assuming that the principles are the same...

The Stock Throttle body on a 1994 LT1 is 48mm a 52mm can be bolted up with no mods but you will need to have the intake ported to achieve a wide enough opening to work with a 58MM size throttle body but unless your dealing with a pretty highly Modified engine you don't need that big of a throttle body and most likely it will just hurt performance but thats just my opinion

This is absolutely correct. You'll need to port match your intake with a dremel or some other porting tool in order to get the holes in the intake manifold to be big enough to match the TB. If you are running a supercharger or a shitload of nitrous, then go ahead and do it, but otherwise there is really no point. I would just get a 52mm TB and save yourself some porting work...

depends on if you have a MAF system or a MAP system. with a MAF it will sense the increased airflow, and adapt the fuel curve to match. with a MAP it might let in enough more air to throw off the fuel curve, meaning you would have to reprogram some of the variables. also the porting and whatnot. if you have a MAP system, i would wait till you have all the mods you want to do, heads, cam, intake, TB, all that, put it together, and reprogram the computer once to account for all of those variables.
