318i '95 window is messed

it wont open now... the button will allow it to go up, but it wont go down any more... does any one know how to fix this?

I also the similar problem except that mine one does not go up but down (I have 325iS 1993). Comes out to be window regulator (it can be something else also for you so first step would be to get it diagnosed). If your window can go up, motor is healthy.

how much does all of that cost?

when it stoped working correctly..i was able to get it down once, but i had to really press down on it... if that makes any difference

I got mine diagnosed for free as part of BMW dealer's 29 point courtesy check.

I was driving along and heard a loud bang, it came from the window. Now when i wind my window up it comes out lob sided at a slant.

hahhaah for real? u probably need a new window, or even worse, need other parts... bring it to shop

hey guys. I have a 93 235is where the window works only if the car set for a day or so. Then after i use it, it wont work again. Also the window wont drop when i lift the handle. I think it is the window motor, but I could be wrong. Tell me if you think different.
Jasonjason, it sound like your white plastic slide on your regulator popped out. Is cheap, and just take off the door panel on put back into the slider of the regulator.
