Has anyone ever replaced a PCV value on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 3.8 fuel injected vehicle?
I looked under the engine cover and the tried to look at all the surfaces of the value covers but, nothing that looks familiar. I'm use to seeing a hose (maybe 5/8") coming out of the carb. and going to the value cover with that little rattling device inside. Well, I guess with the fuel injection it a whole new game. Help.

The PCV is hidden from view! It is located under the MAP sensor. Look on top of the engine towards the right side you will see a 3 wire sensor mounted by itself, under that sensor is the PCV. All you have to do is push down and rotate the housing counter clock wise to unlock it. When you replace the PCV make sure to install the oring onto the new valve or you will set a check engine light and some indy shop will charge yopu an arm and a leg to try and find the problem.

Thanks.
I'll take a look see this weekend. One thing .. this O ring .. the new PCV value package doesn't contain an O ring. Could/should the existing ring be reused .. should it .. if it's broke when I remove the old PCV ... I'll be up the creek without a new one. Is the ring metal or fibre?
You've got me concerned about triggering the dash "ckeck engine warning light. I had that happen on a 1991 Pontiac and it was a total nightmare (becasue I tried to solve it myself).
