that's a 280z if i'm not mistaken? Early 80's? Very very awesome looking cars... And pretty cheap to pick up IIRC, although usually look like crap.

Well i think you are mistaken. It looks to be a 1972 Datsun 240Z. You can tell from the windows, and the hood that it is a 240Z, not to mention the lights. Very nice, but i think the fender flairs are to high in the middle.

There are no 240zx... the ZX's didn't come till the 280s. But you could get a 280z... wasn't as great as the 280zx though.

Or, you can just buy one in good condition like I did. All it takes is money. Money can cure any problem on any car.

My neighbor when I used to live in Tennessee had a Datsun that looked just like that, except he was restoring it when I moved - and his was painted yellow. Looks great though. :thumbsup:

If I had a Z (scoop! supposedly my landlord who lives down the road is selling his for $250 I am checking it out tommarrow) I'd put the 280ZG front end treatment on it. I heard that you can order the stuff from japan. 'Spensive, but worth it. I wouldn't have chrome wheels on mine (too flashy). I love Z's.

Definitely a good look for a Z. Minilites, Panasports, or RS Watanabes. The only stand in on a Z for those wheels are American Racing Libres, like on the classic BRE Datsun 240Z's and 510's.

Actually, this Z has a BRE "Spook" front spoiler and American Racing Libres.
