No where have I ever come across what GT-R actually stands for. Now I'm not a car crazy person and wot nots but it came up in a debate and so I put it to you motor loverz to shed some light.

The GT part stands for Grand Touring. the R would most likely mean Race spec.

YZF, GSX, CBR etc are just the model codes for the bikes.

Awww, I was hoping they ment somthing. Is it bad that I didn't know that? I own a GSXr 750... I always wondered wtf the X stood for. Rofl, makes sence now :bloated:
