Better seats

My seats in my 99 Silverado aren't too comfy on my back these days. I was thinking about putting in some nice power adjustable leather seats in place of the current ones. Does anyone know a cheaper place to get factory seats (I was thinking those 04 SS seats look nice!) other than the dealer? I looked on ebay but didn't see anything too appealing. Thanks!

eBay would probably be the best place to start. Second would be your local junk yard. If it's a descent yard they should be on a system with other yards and could check to see whats available elsewhere. It's amazing how hi tech some parts yards have gotten. Also, they should be able to tell you what year trucks cross referenced with yours so you will know what fits and what doesn't.

Thanks Sonny,

Still nothing too appealing on ebay, so for the hell of it I went by the local Chevy dealer to see how much a seat would cost from the parts department for a new Silverado. Well....just ONE seat is $1000  , and as for the Silverado SS, one seat costs.........$1500  :nono:   ! That's $3000 for the set and that doesn't include the center console (and if it doesn't fit they said I couldn't return them)! Ouch.....guess it is time to hit the junkyards---wish me luck!

Gotta love dealerships....
