ok guys, im having car troubles -
my starter went out - i replaced it with a starter from a 92 4.3 blazer from the junk yard - it starts fine now but theres a 'clicking' noise coming from around the starter - the noise is pretty loud and gets faster when the RPM goes up. im thinking its the solenoid but i could be wrong so if anyone can help me, PLEASE DO SO NOW!!! thank you for your time

Did your old starter have a shim on it? If not add one and see if that helps. If not get a new starter. The pinion may not be returning to rest.

the shim is the gasket type deal when the starter slides into place right? well when i took the old starter out, that thing kind of crumbled into a bunch of different pieces. if thats not the shim, please let me know what is?
