Does anyone know who makes this model?
It's a 1/24 die-cast, but it's super detailed from the description. I am particularly interested in the SR20 motor and the intercooler! Maybe they could be used on the 1/24 plastic Silvias :)
Our SR20 motor problems would be solved!

i think it may be a muscle machines car. i have a muscle machines rsx and its built in the same style. not sure though...

If it did the engine would probably terribly distorted as the car looks like a caricature. Not only would it be out of scale, but the detail would likely be soft, the molding imprecise and inaccurate, the chrome plating thick and uneven, and it would probably have plenty of flash and considerable omited detail and corners cut in order to fit it in a non-scale engine bay that was designed primarily for ease of automated manufacture instead of fidelity to the prototype.

That all said, I must be fair, I've never seen one of these in life and it could be surprisingly good. However, I wouldn't touch that thing with a ten foot pole (for accurate scale model purposes anyway, it would be a cool diecast) unless I was able to inspect it closely beforehand.

jada toys makes that diecast and seeing as all there other cars have half engines i bet this one does to, what i mean by half engine is theres only the top half of the engine molded to a flat pice of plastic.

Yeah you be able to use the SR20 inside it i have one of that same brand but diff car. I have a Evo 8 and the ening was pretty cool but it needs a little modify to make it look more real you can probably also use that intercooler aswell. Hope all my info helped you.

Wow, not to bag on the die-cast forum, but I posted this same question there and got 0 replies!!
Thanks for all the info guys...I guess the search for a 1/24 SR20 motor continues.I agree with Willimo though, if the car is cartoonish, then the engine might be real cheesy...SHorty how is does the valve cover look on your die-cast Silvia?
Youngdrifter...is the valve cover salvageable on your die-cast kit?
Clem 24, the Sr is a 4 cylinder, RB is a 6 cylinder engine.

Willimo, do you still think this engine is way out of scale?

This site (http://www.iloveracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PR&Category_Code=RL) has them for about $4 cheaper and different colors, makes, and models.. They used to carry the 1/12th version but they sold out..

Interesting... the highly-demanded SR20DE motor is actual made in plastic! Some one should really fit it into a Nissan S13, etc.

Spoolin12, nice pics!!! Finally some crisp clear engine pics. SO I guess this isn't a JADA toys model, it's "DAISY"??
ANyhow, the SR looks a bit chunky but the detail is high!
Your first pic...Is that the same model painted black and engine bay detailed?
