Demo Derby Tips

Hi, I am making a 1991 Pontiac Perisenne into a demo derby car. I was wondering if anyone had any tips/tricks. It has a 305 in it. Is there any ways to free up hp or tq? Thanks.

larger throttle body, exhaust.. i used to watch the 2 hr long demo derby's on TNN before it came Spike

Heres another tip: pour cement in the fenders, and doors. lol

strip it of everything, power steering, a/c, air filter, interior, seats, anything that the engine doesnt need to run. take out the egr and other emission control stuff. if its a demo car its gonna get messed up so theres no sense in holding back...
