Does anyone have info about a performance module for a Hummer H1. Are they hard to install and how much do they cost.

I am looking to purchase a used H1 for a daily driver, however I have noticed that most of them have had there engines replaced. Does anyone know why. And what other problems might I expect to encounter with buying a early model H1?
