does anyone know if the RSX uses a cable shifter (like the prelude) or if it uses a rod shifter (like just about every other honda/acura)

I did a search around google and stuff...all I found was info about short shifter kits

no, I assumed that much (the clutch is hydrolic)
I mean the actual SHIFTER mechanism(for shifting gears)
the one on the prelude has 2 cables to shift rather than a rod like most hondas do

I was wondering about this info because we were having a discusion about swapping a k series engine into a 3rd gen...didnt want to have to deal with converting from a cable to a rod shifter.... :)
