1991 cutlass ciera mass air flow problem?

car was stalling like it was a bad fuel pump and it was, so we put on new fuel pump, now back to not starting, mechanic thinks it is massive air flow sensor, not sure, any suggestions on checking it.

When car stalled with bad fuel pump, how long did it take to restart? Did your speedometer needle bounce from 0-30 mph while your were cranking the engine. Did you have to wait several minutes and car would restart or did it start immediately after stalling?

I seem to be having the same problem with my 1996 Ciera, except mine displays the above problems when it stalls out. I was wondering if a failing fuel pump would have these symptoms.

Did you replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with good results?
