87 integra idle problems

87 Integra 4 door has a chronic idle problem thats been trouble for about 2 months.The idle drops and fluctuates between 3-500 rpm when its about 3/4 fully warmed up, and the car shakes and shudders fairly violently. When the car is fully warm the idle stays smooth at about 6-900 rpm, however it is never the same each time I come to a stop, sometimes it will be around 900, sometimes less.
When I start the car after its been fully warmed up, say for example after I stoped at the store on my way home from work, the idle drops immediately very low... maybe 250rpms or less, the engine seems like its going to die, but the idle adjusts back up to about 4-500 rpms and remains rough(shuddering and shaking). I replaced the idle air control soleniod(pulled in fairly new condition from a pick n' pull integra), and I just got a new oxygen sensor that is next to install. (I havent been able to install because my oxygen sensor socket has a big hairline crack down the center of it.. Piece of shyt!)
So, do you think the oxygen sensor will fix my problem?
