Cai??

ok...first off, i DO NOT drive a grand prix...so don't flame me for asking this ;)

i have a friend who owns one, and he was telling me that he heard that he could not add a cold air intake to his '97 prix, is this true??

heres what i know about his car:

97 grand prix
100% stock
if it helps in determining trim, it doesn't have a spoiler
automatic

Well Since It doesnt have a spoiler I'm pretty sure it could only be an SE. Some of those have 3.1's and some have 3.8's. They definetly make CAI for the 3800 there are many of them. If he has the 3.1 then I dunno what there is. If he does have that motor I wouldn't worry about doing anything to it. Its gonna be slow no matter what.

A lot of guys have gone with fender well intakes. I'm sure this would work for the 3.1 car.

Im pretty sure he'll need a Coolant bottle from a '99 also.
