I'm getting very frustrated... ok heres the situation, I recently bought a Prostart CT-3300 from Canadian Tire (canada of course) and I've been trying to install it.. it took a while but i finally got to the point where it was turning over, and it would start but then imediately shut off. I figured that i must have had the wrong tach lead so i found what i think is the right one and tried it.. and it worked.. well for about 10 starts.. now its back to where i was before.. its starting then immediately cutting off... any suggestions?

Jay,
I have the same prostart model, but I havn't tried to install it yet, but the manual says you have to put the module through a "tach learning" process. Check your installation manual.
That may be the problem, otherwise I don't know.

OK guys. I just installed the Prostart 3300. I suggest you try putting a key in the ignition and try the remote starter. If this works then I am assuming your ignition is protected by a passlock or passkey system, which will require a bypass module. Good Luck.

I am having the same issues as your initial problem. Start for a second and shut down. Wondering how you rectified your problem?

Reviving threads started in 2004 isn't a good way to do that...
If that user is still around, try sending him an email or PM. That way we don't get the old thread, and you get you answer quicker.
