This is just a Revell Integra kit. Nothing special I'm just building it while I'm here at college, so I'll have updates at least once or twice a day during the week. Gonna be blue or purple. Kinda overdone import look. Nothing too special so far.
Im happy though cuz i can finally work on something at school!

Thanks everyone, I'll update a little later. But for now to answer the wheels questions:
They are the 6 spoke wheels which come with the Revell Civic kits. I stripped the chrome using bleach and then painted them gold suing testors gold metallic spray. They are a nice dark gold in natural light rather than the yellowy colored gold, i really like them!
Thanks again!

Time for another update. I've done some more chassis work, the chassis piece is done, I added the beginnings of the front suspension and just placed the rear suspension to see how it fits. I ditched the metal exhaust tip for a big one (I know they are not very practical and this one is far to big for scale but I like the way it looks). I also finished the front drive axles and struts/ shocks. The final picture is of how the tailights are going to look. I realize they are not true Type R tailghts, nor true JDM tailights but I wanted to try something different and I think they look cool.
So what do you all think???

Well here you go 86sr5, i made a thing to show how to make the tailights!
First you paint around the raised edges on the back of the lamps with flat black. This will probably take 2 coats.
Then you use an exacto to scrape off any black that creeped over to the top flat area.
Finally apply 2 coats of your chosen colors! Pretty easy, hope this helps, thanks everyone!

Well I got paint on the car this weekend, i think it looks good . I like the blue, and the mid piece of the wing is black, and so is the hood. I'll get better pictures tomorrow. So what do you all think, I also have some interior stuff done, so I'll show you tomorrow. What does everyone think?? ( sorry to disappoint some of you on the wing) But That is the style i'm going for.

that's great. I was going to use that wing and do the mid-piece black like my hood, but went with the Type R since I'm trying to stick with the JDM/tuner look.

02-15-2004, 11:17 PM
yeah i went for a... well overdone, somewhat tacky but toned down look. I personally would never drive this car due to the wing and wheels, but for what I am trying to achieve its perfect!

looks great. honestly, if they were stock, given choice, I'd take yours over mine, mine is too bright of a blue with bright white wheels.

thanks everyone, i don't have any updates right now, all i can do is wait to strip the dash after i ruined it. the rest is pretty much done. this weekend i'll compound and wax as well as paint the window rubbers. so its almost there.
now 86sr5 the wheels....
i first stripped n cleaned em, finally i applied testors gold metallic spray, and didn't clear coat, it looks nice n shiney like that
however i'll try to take more pictures later or tomorrow to leave you with over the weekend!
