coool i need help w/ my 71 duster i am re building it fr my SR project and right now i have a problemis with my voltage amp reader it is reading +20 so its over charging and melting the red wire if i unhook the alternator it doesnt burn the red wire if i unhook the alternator the car runs just off the batt. is it somthing to do with the voltage regulator???
HELP!!

If you voltage regulator is in the alternator like most are then take your alternator off and have it checked out it could be that your alternator might be bad causing it to overcharge.
